HILTON GARDEN INN WAIKIKI BEACH
Encompassing almost an entire block in Oahu’s tourism district of Waikiki, the world’s largest Hilton Garden Inn opened to guests after a $115 million renovation.
The existing 18-story hotel updated all 623 guestrooms, food and beverage outlets, meeting facilities, back-of-house and recreational amenities, including a pool and fitness center. Over the course of a 15-month construction time-frame, the building was demolished down to concrete slabs and structural sheer walls. Every mechanical and electrical component was replaced. The lobby and restaurant areas were restructured to create a 20 foot double volume ceiling space, a new elevator was installed, and a new water feature was added to the guest-arrival entryway to the lobby.
RLB provided Project Management Services for RBE Waikiki West Owner, LLC, starting at the Concept Design Phase and continuing to project completion.
