PHOENIX CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
This project involves an expansion of the main campus, including an 11-story patient tower, a highly visible main entry boulevard, a new trauma center, and beautifully landscaped grounds with three gardens.
The ambulatory and inpatient functions are both located in this one tower. This design decreases travel distances within the facility and improves orientation. Another strength of the design is the visual access to the outside, with views from patient rooms and public spaces including elevators, playrooms, cafés, waiting areas, and corridors.
RLB was hired directly by the owner to provide third-party cost estimating and feasibility studies for each phase of the project, including upgrades and additions.
RLB Corporate Counsel was also appointed to the project’s Dispute Review Board to help mitigate potential project disputes during construction.
