UCHEALTH HIGHLANDS RANCH HOSPITAL

UCHealth’s tremendous presence and care of residents in the Metro Denver area and throughout Colorado are a crucial part of keeping the Rocky Mountain region healthy and well. The new, state-of-the-art UCHealth medical campus in Douglas County, Colorado was created to serve the rapidly expanding population of the Denver Metro Area. UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital aimed to serve the local growing community, helping patients avoid traveling to much further UCHealth campuses for basic and more advanced levels of care.

With better care options now closer to home, the six-story Highlands Ranch Hospital opened in 2019 with an initial 74 inpatient bed capacity and plenty of room to grow for the surrounding residents. The hospital features an 18-bed intensive care unit, six operating rooms, and a Level III trauma center and emergency department.

A full-service birth center with c-section operating rooms and a Levell III NICU is also located in the facility along with complete imaging capabilities, advanced cardiac services, and a dedicated two-story cancer center with advanced oncology services.

A 550-spot multi-level parking garage for patients, visitors and employees to the hospital was erected to accommodate the large population able to be cared for and visit the hospital at any given time.

In addition to establishing full project controls, we participated in contractor interviews and selection, GMP agreements, cost and schedule reviews, and change order analysis.
