Andrew Heaps

Andrew Heaps is a Director at RLB in Auckland, bringing over a decade of experience across diverse sectors, including industrial, healthcare, commercial, education, hospitality, retail, data centres and infrastructure.

Andrew began his journey with RLB in 2011 after receiving an RLB Scholarship. He has since built a career distinguished by deep industry knowledge and a strong understanding of New Zealand’s construction landscape. He is passionate about emerging technologies and interested in AI’s transformative potential within the built environment.

Since 2017, Andrew has led the Hamilton office, overseeing projects throughout the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. He is experienced in every project lifecycle stage, from early conceptual estimating to final account negotiations. He consistently leverages his technical expertise, robust estimating capabilities and practical understanding of construction methodologies to deliver effective cost management and project outcomes. 

Andrew is a member of New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors and holds a Bachelor of Construction in Quantity Surveying.
