Ensuring safe and efficient airport operations for the next 20 years

AIRSERVICES AUSTRALIA NATIONAL TOWERS PROGRAM LIFE EXTENSION PROJECT

Airservices Australia’s key strategy to meet the increase in air traffic and to cater for safe and efficient future airport operations is an upgrade of the technology and equipment available to tower controllers.

Seventeen control towers throughout Australia have been identified, which require life extension upgrading or replacement.

The works include updating the latest air traffic control technology and revitalising infrastructure to improve functionality and give the control towers a further 20 years of life.

RLB has been commissioned to prepare RElifing® budgets at each of the three design stages.
