Enabling a better understanding of a building’s future

This project involved reporting on the condition of thirteen of La Trobe University’s existing buildings, some of which are over 50 years old.

The university is able to use these reports for forecasting capital expenditure on the facilities into the future, while also enabling them to make better informed strategic decisions in relation to their overall property portfolio.

Engaged under Wood & Grieve Engineers, RLB provided reporting on the condition of the building fabric for each building. Included within the reporting was commentary on the condition of the buildings, along with likely remedial works, including forecast timing and expected costs for the works.
