LOPDELL PRECINCT REDEVELOPMENT

Lopdell House is an iconic 1930’s heritage building providing spaces for a range of art and cultural displays and activities.

The redevelopment featured a new 500-space parking deck, heritage restoration of the six-storey Lopdell House, renovation of the historic ‘Treasure House’ and the construction of the new Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery, designed by Mitchell & Stout.

This $14-million redevelopment was part of a larger $19. 5-million project that included seismic strengthening.

Works comprised new pile foundations, steel frame bracing and conversion to new upgraded theatre, bar, proposed restaurant and offices on upper floors.

RLB provided cost management services, including estimating, tendering and procurement and post-contract financial management.
