UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO, SCIENCE PRECINCT REFURBISHMENT
The total redevelopment of this 6,300 square-metre 1960's chemistry laboratory will be done in three stages in an operational building.
The remodelling of the current science labs to meet current scientific standards includes a ‘super-lab’, new teaching and research labs, PC3 clean rooms for trace metals, and improved airflow and ventilation on all floors.
A temporary lab has been set-up in the carpark as well as significant temporary decants elsewhere, to enable lessons to continue during construction.
Due for completion mid-2018.
