A finalist in the 2020 Property Council New Zealand / Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards, the Air New Zealand Inflight Logistics Warehouse accommodates the in-flight distribution operations, engineering maintenance spares, and other general storage requirements for Air New Zealand.

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) provided commercial certainty to Air New Zealand led by Richard Anderson.

The project has been shortlisted in two awards categories – Green Building Property Award and Industrial Property Award.

The building was designed to offer the best possible efficiencies and targeted a 5-Star Green Star environmental sustainability rating.

Detailed assessments and computer modelling of daylighting, energy performance, and CFD analysis were required throughout the design stages.

Careful consideration of materials, building services design, and contractor engagement throughout the construction was also given.

The result was a facility that allowed not only for Air New Zealand’s current storage requirements but also the capacity for future growth, increased efficiency, and a more cohesive workplace community.

With its striking design by Eclipse Architects and sustainable focus, the Inflight Logistics Warehouse is an outstanding example of a building for the future.

Together with the Property Council New Zealand, RLB is passionate about promoting and celebrating leading practice in the property sector via the Property Industry Awards program.
