Generator NZ is among 83 projects in the running for prestigious property awards at the 2022 Property Council New Zealand / Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) Property Industry Awards.

The awards program, now in its 25th year of partnership with RLB, showcases excellence in design and innovation in New Zealand’s built environment.

“Generator NZ is competing in three categories – a testament to its top tier green facilities and revitalisation of a Wellington heritage building,” says RLB Principal Bevan Hartley.

Not only does the widespread functionality of green buildings improve the local environment, but those working and living inside the buildings can enjoy healthier atmospheres, free of unnecessary pollution and waste.

“Keeping and reusing historic buildings has long-term benefits for the communities that value them. When done well, adaptive reuse can restore and maintain the heritage significance of a building and help to ensure its survival. Generator is one such development, exceeding expectations for the revitalisation of a local heritage building,” Bevan adds.

All finalists are in the running for the industry’s most coveted prize – the Rider Levett Bucknall Supreme Award.

Winners will be announced at the 2022 Property Council New Zealand / Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards, to be held at Spark Arena on Friday 12 August 2022.
