Waitohi – Johnsonville Community Hub is vying for the Civic and Arts Property Award in the 2020 Property Council New Zealand / Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards.

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) provided commercial certainty to Wellington City Council led by Cameron Whyte.

Waitohi integrates community facilities, including Johnsonville Library, Keith Spry Pool (in its existing location), Whānau Manaaki Kindergarten, Common Ground café, transport hub and connections to Memorial Park.

A testament to how unique function, design, and innovation can be combined, the hub is already a distinct and enduring Wellington landmark, where modern design and construction is celebrated.

Waitohi is 3,964 square metres in total, including landscaping and connections, with the interior space totalling 2,732 square metres.

Waitohi – Johnsonville Community Hub is owned by Wellington City Council and designed by Athfield Architects.

Together with the Property Council New Zealand, RLB is passionate about promoting and celebrating leading practice in the property sector via the Property Industry Awards program.
