Sydney’s York&George is competing in three categories in the 2020 Property Council of Australia / Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation & Excellence Awards; Best Heritage Development, Best Mixed Use Development, and Best Residential Development.

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) provided commercial certainty led by New South Wales Director Richard Rigby.

The milestone project was delivered despite a host of challenges – heavy rail tunnels, multiple heritage buildings, construction of the Light Rail and development over a geological fault zone.

Rectification works to commercial heritage properties on York Street are juxtaposed to the modern glass, sandstone and basalt George Street retail frontage.

A slender residential apartment tower floats above, offering themed apartments that reflect this architectural fusion.

York&George is nominated by Colliers International, owned by Fife Capital Group and designed by John Wardle Architects.

RLB has partnered with the Property Council of Australia to present the Innovation & Excellence Awards program since its inception in 1982.

A NEW DATE is coming soon for the 2020 Gala Dinner.
