A purpose-built building that enhances care and wellbeing and a striking sustainable design are among the nine finalists vying for the Resene Green Building and CBRE Industrial Property Awards at the 2021 Property Council New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards.

2021 will mark 24 years since the prestigious awards began, celebrating the highest achievements in the creation of New Zealand’s built environment.

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is honoured to have provided commercial certainty towards the following nominated green buildings.

1. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Auckland

“The building is an investment that will enable Fisher & Paykel to continue to develop and deliver world-leading healthcare solutions.” Hamish Dackers

2. Foodstuffs North Island, Auckland

According to RLB Director, Chris Haines, Foodstuffs’ North Island headquarters turns the design of a typical industrial building upside down to create an outstanding and unusual workplace and distribution facility.

“This is an exciting and innovative complex playing a key role in New Zealand’s future and helping to meet the needs and aspirations of Foodstuffs and its customers,” Mr Haines said.

“The roof of the new Distribution Centre includes New Zealand’s largest connected solar panel system. Technically known as a photovoltaic (PV) array, this renewable energy solution has been designed to make the office completely “zero carbon” for operational electrical consumption related to the office.”

Winners will be announced at the 2021 Property Council New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards on 24 November.
