Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Associate Directors to our busy Auckland team. James Smith and Stefan Fourie have been promoted to Associate Directors and will form part of our senior leadership team at RLB in Auckland.

James Smith has been at RLB since 2016. He has an impressive career in quantity surveying, having worked as a Technical Director, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Claims Surveyor for a range of projects and companies since 1987, in New Zealand, the UK and Middle East. James brings significant expertise in arbitration, mediation, expert witness and technical rail infrastructure knowledge to his position. James is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a RICS-Accredited Mediator, and a Corporate Member of the CIOB.

Stefan Fourie joined RLB in 2018, bringing more than 15 years of experience as a quantity surveyor in the South African, USA and New Zealand markets. He has 4 years’ experience in New Zealand, including extensive vertical building and horizontal infrastructure expertise spanning a wide range of sectors. He is also highly skilled in 5D BIM. Stefan was formerly a Director of a South African quantity surveying business, and is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a Professional Member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors.

Managing Director Steve Gracey, who announced the promotions last week, is pleased to welcome James and Stefan to their new roles on RLB’s accomplished senior leadership team.
