RLB recently hosted 33 staff delegates in Singapore for the RLB Global BIM Conference.

These delegates are considered our leading technical experts who regularly use and investigate current technologies in the industry.

They included quantity surveyors, managers, associates, directors, managing directors and global board members from 12 countries.

Stephen Mee, Global Board Chairman of RLB commented, ‘The conference was a great success, and on a personal note, I was extremely pleased with the energy, preparation and participation of the delegates who attended the RLB BIM Conference 2019. I wish to pass on my thanks and appreciation and look forward to the future outcomes.’

The workshop discussed finalisation of the BIM Protocols Part 2 technical paper for release in April 2019.

There were over 30 presentations enabling the sharing of the firm’s collective knowledge on topics such as the extension of BIM usage within respective countries in pre and post contract phases, the future of take-off, Revit schedules, ROSS5D, RLB Pulse, virtual reality, augmented reality, parametric modelling, artificial intelligence, point cloud, 3D scanning, Power BI and RLB Focus, drone technology and external speakers on Blockchain and Hexagon Geospatial (use of big data).

RLB recognises the importance of technology in the advancement of the property and construction professions.

The firm’s Global Digital Advancement Committee (GDAC) focuses on embracing BIM and modern technologies within the delivery of services.

Please engage with GDAC Chairman Tom Chatterton to share new insights to benefit our profession.
