Managing Director Tony Moleta is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Rogers and Brendan Young as Directors, and Edmond Hennessy as Technical Director (Infrastructure).

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) also adds three new associates to the team in Victoria; David Van Der Staal, Kenny Ho-Fi and Stephen Peters.

‘We welcome Shelley and Brendan to the Board of Directors in Victoria and Edmond, David, Kenny and Stephen to their leadership positions and look forward to the continued growth and success of RLB in Victoria,’ said Tony.

‘These individuals have worked effectively across a wide variety of sectors, and they have consistently made very valuable contributions to our clients’ projects and to the Victorian practice. I look forward to continuing to build a joint vision for the future of RLB in Victoria with them.’

Shelley Rogers (Director)

Shelley’s appointment to Director makes her the second female to join the board of directors at RLB in Victoria.

With over 15 years’ industry experience, Shelley’s proactive and people-first approach has firmly established her as a respected advisor across her suite of clients. In addition to her strong cost planning proficiency on major projects, Shelley is also highly experienced across our advisory services.

Shelley commenced at RLB in Victoria in 2008 as an undergraduate and was appointed to the role of Associate in 2017. Shelley has wide ranging experience, with a particular focus on large-scale commercial projects such as Wesley Place, Collins Arch, Chadstone Commercial Precinct, and 140 Lonsdale Street.

Shelley is integral to RLB’s business operations, exemplified by her invaluable work on the design and delivery of the new ERP system. Shelley was also one of three founding members of the ‘RLB Link’ initiative, which helps the younger generation of quantity surveyors at RLB form and strengthen their professional relationships.

Brendan Young (Director)

Brendan has over 15 years’ experience across a range of sectors, specifically in major residential, retail, commercial and hospitality. Some of his major projects include West Side Place, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Crown Metropol in Melbourne, Australian Ballet Centre, and the roll-out of ALDI stores across Victoria.

With exceptional attention to detail and a solution-focused attitude, Brendan is known for delivering workable solutions that meet client objectives and deliver the best possible project outcomes with the least amount of risk.

Brendan commenced his career at RLB in Victoria as an undergraduate in 2007 and was appointed Associate in 2017. Together with Shelley Rogers, Brendan was one of three founding members of the ‘RLB Link’ initiative, aimed at developing and strengthening relationships across the younger generation.

Edmond Hennessy (Technical Director, Infrastructure)

As Technical Director, Edmond Hennessy will be responsible for the delivery of major projects and implementation of the infrastructure division’s strategic objectives.

Edmond joined RLB in 2018, bringing with him over 15 years’ experience working in quantity surveying firms, engineering consultancies and government agencies across the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.

Over the course of his career, Edmond has provided technical advisory services on a variety of high-profile transport projects, from the Suburban Roads Upgrade and the CityLink Tulla Widening, through to the Metro Tunnel, West Gate Bridge, Regional Rail Link and M80. He specialises in both capex and opexbudgeting, as well as delay analysis and project controls.

Managing Director, Tony Moleta said ‘Edmond is a highly regarded, strategic leader with deep industry experience. He has played a key role in delivering exceptional results in our infrastructure department in Victoria and his appointment as Technical Director is a well-deserved and exciting opportunity for Edmond to leverage his strengths.’

David van der Staal (Associate)

David is a highly skilled and respected construction industry professional with over 20 years of experience working with some of Australia’s major developers. David specialises in contract administration and post-contract services working on significant projects such as Collins Arch, West Side Place, Queens Place, 555 Collins Street, Victoria Police Centre, Ravenhall Correctional Centre and Two Melbourne Quarter.

David’s balanced approach has ensured successful project outcomes and earned respect and trust from his industry colleagues.

Beginning at RLB in Victoria as an undergraduate, David is often involved in the establishment and implementation of a variety of business initiatives including RLB’s market leading proprietary suite of software, the RLB Academy and more recently the design and delivery of the new ERP.

The board is particularly proud to have David join the leadership group and be recognised for his long-standing, loyal service to RLB.’

Kenny Ho-Fi (Associate)

Commencing with RLB in 2018 and with over ten years’ industry experience, Kenny is a proven expert in the provision of cost planning and estimating services as well as tender management and contract administration.

Kenny has an exceptional aptitude for analysis, combined with strong technical and construction methodology skills. This enables him to deliver comprehensive risk assessments and value management services.

Over the course of his career, Kenny has worked across a variety of projects of varying complexities including Caulfield Village Precinct 3, CSL Banksia, NewQuay West, Public Housing Renewal Program, and Suburban Roads Upgrade. Kenny also has extensive experience in providing project & tender management services as well as superintendency.

With Kenny’s leadership and collaborative approach to his work, our team of exceptional quantity surveyors will carry on the firm’s legacy of first-rate client service.’

Stephen Peters (Associate)

After starting with RLB only nine months ago, Stephen has quickly demonstrated his advanced technical proficiency as well as ability to lead complex commissions.

With an exceptional eye for detail and ability to develop risk-based solutions for difficult matters, Stephen brings a varied skillset to RLB assisting in further broadening our service offering to clients. He specialises in the use of BIM technology, Monte Carlo simulations / risk modelling, and life-cycle costing. He has over 10 years expertise in both the pre and post-contract phases, delivering this range of services on challenging projects across various sectors including infrastructure, defence, data centres and civic.

Stephen has been involved on some high-profile projects including North EastLink, Sydney Metro City & South West, Melbourne Metro, Sydney Gateway, WestConnex 3B, Scienceworks, and Royal Botanic Gardens Nature Science Precinct.

Passionate about professional development, Stephen is a Green Star Accredited Professional and is currently undertaking the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.
