Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) in Victoria has achieved official certification as a carbon neutral business through the NoCO2 Carbon Neutral Program.

RLB engaged the Carbon Reduction Institute, which administers Australia’s longest running climate change certification program, to assess the carbon footprint of its Victorian office as a benchmark project.

RLB Director, Arif Uzay, said the certification process allowed RLB to set a baseline, identify ‘quick wins’ and long-term opportunities as it works towards net zero emissions.

The firm is now collaborating across its network of offices to apply the learnings and carbon reduction strategies from the Victorian project.

“We know buildings are responsible for 39 per cent of the world’s global emissions, which places the built environment at the front line of climate action,” Arif said.

“I am proud of our team’s work to achieve this milestone as we take another important step to address climate change and inspire a better tomorrow.”
