Wigram Skies Christchurch was honoured at the 2016 Property Council of New Zealand/ Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards, by winning the Natural Habitats Urban Land Developments Property Award.

This is one of 14 RLB projects to be awarded on the evening, having provided cost management and quantity surveying services on the project. The RLB project team was led by Christchurch Director, Malcolm Timms.

Mr Timms said, ‘Wigram Skies, formerly home to the Wigram Aerodrome, is a mixed-use development that showcases modern and innovate living. This master-planned community will be home to over 4,000 people. RLB is proud to have partnered with Ngai Tahu on another outstanding and successful project.’

Developed by Ngai Tahu Property Ltd, Wigram Skies is setting the standard for modern, innovative and convenient living. This unique, master planned community will provide leisure, recreational, retail and community services to residents of Christchurch’s South-West.

The Property Council New Zealand / Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards celebrate innovation and leading practice within New Zealand’s property development and investment industries.

RLB has partnered with the Property Council New Zealand to present the awards program for more than 18 years.

The 2016 winners were announced on 17 June at a gala dinner at Vector Arena in Auckland, attended by over 1,500 people.
