Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) Senior Quantity Surveyor, Tom Chatterton, has been jointly recognised for outstanding contribution to the New Zealand property industry.

Tom was awarded the honour for his energy, enthusiasm and leadership qualities. The judges said it was heart-warming to read about a young achiever who is already making his mark on the property industry.

Managing Director of RLB in Christchurch, Malcolm Timms, said the award is a much deserved tribute.

He remarked, ‘Tom is an outstanding quantity surveyor and inspirational trailblazer in the field of BIM development for quantity surveying. His enthusiasm, dedication, commitment and innovative approach to his work has seen him make his mark on the property industry. And he has shown great leadership in building strong links with clients and industry associations to develop new technologies and software.’

Anderson Lloyd Judges’ Choice Award

The Judges’ Choice Award, sponsored by Anderson Lloyd, aims to showcase some of the best emerging professionals in the property industry.

Tom was one of two recipients of this award announced at the Property Council New Zealand Southern Excellence Awards on 10 November. The other was Charlotte McKirdy of Parker Warbuton Team Architects.

The judging panel noted, ‘We were absolutely inspired by the amount Tom and Charlotte have both achieved in their relatively short careers. Their achievements and passion are remarkable given their youth.’
