My passion for architecture led me to pursue a career in construction management, where I could combine my love of art and design with the practical aspects of building. I’ve never looked back.

Bianca Christensen, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Melbourne

Bianca Christensen has always harboured a desire to challenge herself, fuelled by the encouragement of her family who instilled a belief that her ambitions could be limitless.

Initially drawn to architecture for its blend of art, design and science, Bianca embarked on her undergraduate studies at QUT before relocating to Melbourne to commence a Master of Construction Management part-time while balancing a full-time job as a construction estimator.

A chance encounter at a networking night introduced Bianca to the RLB team, and she soon had a new job working alongside seasoned professionals. Career-defining work on some of Australia’s best projects followed, including West Side Place, Queens Wharf and the Victorian School Building Authority, spanning more than 65 phases.

Bianca was promoted to Senior Quantity Surveyor with RLB in 2021, and in 2023 was presented with the RLB Star Award for Customer Excellence. With a commitment to flawless execution, innovation and unswerving dedication to her clients, Bianca is a shining example of female leadership in quantity surveying.
