Laurie Holyoake, Principal of Rider Levett Bucknall in Wellington will be retiring in May 2019.

Laurie began his career in quantity surveying over 45 years ago and retires after 40 years with Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB).

‘It has been a true privilege to be part of the great community of property professionals in Wellington and construction in New Zealand more broadly,’ he reflected this week.

‘I sincerely thank all of you, clients, colleagues and friends, who have made the journey so memorable for me.’

Laurie said the past 32 years as a director and principal of RLB in Wellington have been extremely rewarding.

‘The opportunity to work across a breadth of project sectors in the Wellington region and throughout New Zealand, and the calibre of people in our industry, has been an unforgettable experience.’

During his years with RLB, Laurie has been involved in all areas of quantity surveying including financial evaluation, estimating, cost planning, cost management, procurement advice, scheduling and contract administration, on a wide variety of industry projects, including the infrastructure, education, health and commercial sectors.

Tony Sutherland acknowledged the outstanding contribution Laurie Holyoake has provided, as a Director and Principal over the last 32 years, saying that the firm was very well positioned to go forward as a result of his contribution.
