The Directors of Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) are pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors and two new Associates to our senior management team.

Hamish Dackers – Director

Since joining RLB in 2002, Hamish has been a key member of our Auckland-based team. His prior experience in the construction industry as a consultant and contractor included roles at Aspec Construction and Mainzeal Property & Construction.

For 15 years at RLB, Hamish has built considerable expertise across a wide range of sectors, most notably in tertiary research facilities, hotel and multi-unit residential, and large-scale commercial projects.

Highly skilled in conceptual and design phase estimating, cost planning, and procurement, Hamish focuses on building strong client and industry relationships through his dedication to successful project delivery.

Tony Tudor – Director

Joining RLB in 2012, Tony has more than 20 years’ experience as a consultant quantity surveyor.

His experience covers all facets of cost management, from cost planning to post-contract cost management within a variety of construction sectors, including education, public sector works, commercial, airports, custodial, health, and research & development in the South Island.

Tony’s strengths relate primarily to the pre-construction phase, in cost planning and strategic advice.

Now leading the team in the Queenstown office, his career highlights include growing the RLB brand in the Otago region and developing trusted relationships with many key businesses and organisations in the region.

Esther Greet – Associate Director

Since joining RLB in 2002, Esther has been an invaluable member of the Auckland team. She has more than 34 years of experience in the construction industry – as a quantity surveyor for 17 years, then as a civil and structural engineer.

She specialises in cost planning, from feasibility through to construction stage, and has expertise in bank funds monitoring, tax depreciation, and life-cycle costings.

Her experience covers a variety of sectors including health, education, residential housing, major shopping centres, hotels, custodial facilities, and remediation of leaky buildings.

Olin Reed – Associate Director

After several years of mechanical contracting, Olin joined RLB in 2005. With significant experience across the full range of sectors, he now leads RLB’s building services team.

Olin has particular expertise in detailed cost build-ups at early design stages. He undertakes many complex and challenging projects requiring lateral problem-solving approaches. His pre- and post-contract roles involve in-depth cost planning and estimating services from early concept planning through to completion of construction.

In addition, Olin has taken a lead role in the implementation of ROSS 5D – RLB’s measurement and estimation software, as well as internal training in BIM.
