Alistair Aitken is a Director of RLB in Perth, Western Australia. He is responsible for the delivery of all Western Australia Infrastructure services.

Joining RLB in 2011, after working in the UK construction industry, he is skilled in a wide range of civil engineering construction projects such as roads, rail and structures.

With 15 years of experience, mainly within a contracting environment, he has a strong understanding of project risk and opportunities.

Alistair also has considerable expertise in successfully delivering a broad range of sector projects at a federal, state and local government level.

Alistair is a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying. He has a Higher National Certificate (HNC) and National Certificate (NC) in Civil Engineering.

Giulio Altamura

Giulio Altamura is a Director of RLB in Adelaide.

Joining RLB in 1997, Giulio has extensive experience in retail, public realm, civil and infrastructure projects. He provides full cost planning services on major retail projects, large scale land and public realm developments. Infrastructure projects include road upgrades, bridges, water reuse schemes, and mining and resources.

Highly regarded for his detailed and technical approach, Giulio’s skills have been instrumental in the negotiation of contracts and variations. He regularly undertakes the role of expert witness and manages dispute litigation across a wide range of construction projects. He is also a part­-time lecturer at the University of South Australia, teaching quantity surveying.

Giulio is a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Mark Bendotti is the Managing Director of RLB in Perth, Western Australia.

He specialises in conceptual phase cost planning, cost control during design, contract finalisation, and negotiation and cost control during construction.

Since joining RLB in 2008 as a director, Mark has been involved in all commercial construction sectors and infrastructure works.

His 30 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor, includes involvement in the procurement of $3 billion worth of construction work as a Brookfield Multiplex Manager.

Mark is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and is accredited with the International Cost Engineering Council.

He is the current President of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors WA Chapter.

Tom Bernard

Tom Bernard is a Director of RLB in Adelaide. Tom works across all building sectors and his expertise covers hotel, casino, entertainment, large retail developments, education, residential and industrial developments.

He specialises in conceptual cost estimating and planning, providing highly detailed estimates.

Since joining RLB in 2000, he has become an important team member on many value engineering workshops. He has carried out several life cycle costing exercises, providing cost management services on the South Australian Water Headquarters, the first State Government project to achieve a 6 Star GBCA rating in Australia.

Tom has a comprehensive understanding of ESD requirements and has developed associated cost data on an extensive range of initiatives and options.

Tom is a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He is a Green Star Accredited Professional with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).

Beginning her career at RLB in 1999 as a cadet quantity surveyor, Natasha became an Associate in 2007. Mark Chappé

Mark Chappé is the Managing Director of RLB in Canberra and Chairman of the Oceania Training and Development Committee.

Mark has worked in the property and construction industry since 1978, and was partner of a quantity surveying practice in South Africa.

Since joining RLB in Australia in 1998, Mark has been involved in various construction sectors including health, commercial office, education, entertainment, residential and civil engineering projects.

Mark is an international expert on games overlay and venues, having worked on the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, and the Rio 2016 and Istanbul 2020 Games bids.

In 2013, Mark was the recipient of the Allan Wylucki ACT Property Council of Australia Property Professional of the Year Award.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a member of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors.

Fiona Doherty is a Director of RLB in Canberra. As a member of the leadership team she is involved with all aspects of project delivery.

Joining RLB in 2014, Fiona brings over 26 years’ experience to her role, having worked on a wide range of major commercial new build, renovation and refurbishment projects across the United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia.

She has been involved in both public and private sectors including healthcare, education, residential, heritage, commercial, civic and diplomatic projects.

Her proactive approach to cost saving and efficiency, and her creative problem solving abilities, enable Fiona to successfully deliver projects on budget and to program.

In 2014, Fiona was the recipient of the AIQS Infinite Value Professional of the Year Award.

Matthew Harris is the Managing Director of RLB in Sydney. He is Chairman of the Oceania Insurance and Infrastructure Committees.

Since joining RLB in 1999, Matthew has developed a strong background in business management, finance and human resources, working on a range of contracts from major rail infrastructure projects to asset management plans for large mining companies.

With over 20 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor, Matthew has provided technical and cost management services on large public-private-partnerships and infrastructure projects.

These include the recent appointments to the Sydney International Convention Centre, Sydney Light Rail, Toowoomba Second Range Crossing and North West Rail Link.

Oliver Nichols is a Director of RLB in Sydney, where he has been based since 2008.

Through his tenure Oliver has worked on a diverse range of projects in a variety of sectors specialising in cost planning, financial reporting and post-contract cost management. With a primary focus in sport and recreation and high-rise developments, Oliver liaises with clients, consultants and contractors to propel complex developments towards successful delivery. Andrew Suttie is the Managing Director of RLB in Adelaide. He is involved in business development, bid management, client relations, and project leadership for public and private sector clients.

Since 1989, Andrew has provided consultancy advice on construction projects across all industry sectors. He is proud to have been involved in the majority of South Australia’s most iconic and challenging education and health projects, such as the $2 billion New Royal Adelaide Hospital-the most advanced health facility in Australia.

Andrew is known for his lateral approach to problem solving and for encouraging project teams to aspire to best value solutions.

An accomplished public speaker, he has presented to the Australian Construction Industry Forecasting (ACIF) forums and delivered ‘state of the market’ presentations for many health and education service providers, as well as the Property Council of Australia.

Starting his career at Davis Langdon in the United Kingdom, Chris joined RLB in New Zealand in 2007 as a senior quantity surveyor.

Bevan Hartley is a Principal of RLB in Wellington.

A quantity surveyor, his expertise includes initial rough order of cost estimating through to developed design estimating, scheduling, tender analysis, post contract administration and final account resolution.

Joining RLB in 2003, Bevan has been involved in a wide range of projects, from ‘greenfield’ new constructions to highly intricate and complex refurbishments.

His portfolio includes office buildings and fit-outs, apartments, laboratories, multi-housing, subdivisions, courts, police stations and industrial projects.

Bevan acts as the ‘bank quantity surveyor’, providing pre-condition reports for funding institutions with a review of the development process, cost and risk analysis. Ongoing monitoring of the development is then done on a cost to complete basis.
