GUANGZHOU CTF FINANCE CENTRE (EAST TOWER) AND ROSEWOOD GUANGZHOU

Reducing the ecological footprint through innovative design

GUANGZHOU CTF FINANCE CENTRE (EAST TOWER) AND ROSEWOOD GUANGZHOU

This landmark building symbolises Guangzhou's prosperity and ambitious green agenda.

The design comes from its multiple uses – the building steps to accommodate changing floor plates and to blend with the form of the adjacent West Tower and TV Tower. The chiselled setbacks are sculpted to reflect the various heights of the nearby towers, and to provide a crescendo in the city’s ever-expanding skyline.

The integrated landmark tower has a gross floor area of over 500,000 square metres and combines office space, hotel, serviced apartments, a shopping mall, recreation and restaurants. This 530-metre mixed-use development is linked to public transport through underground connections, and to adjacent buildings via pedestrian bridges.

Energy-efficient strategies will reduce the project’s environmental footprint including the use of high-efficiency chillers, facade materials with high thermal properties, solar panels on the podium roof and heat recovery from the water-cooled chiller condensers.

Crowning the East Tower is Rosewood Guangzhou, an ultra-luxury hotel that completes the tower’s integrated uses. Occupying the building’s uppermost levels, the 251-key hotel begins from the 95th floor and offers sweeping views across Zhujiang New Town, alongside destination dining and elevated lifestyle experiences.

Rosewood Guangzhou underscores the East Tower’s status as a world-class landmark—where architectural ambition, vertical connectivity and premium hospitality converge at the very top of Guangzhou’s skyline.
