Manchester Printworks embracing innovation with Europe's largest indoor digital ceiling
Manchester’s Printworks entertainment complex has undergone a comprehensive £21 million refurbishment, solidifying its position as a leading destination for leisure activities. Completed in March 2024, the project boasts a show-stopping centrepiece, a massive 1,000 square meter digital ceiling screen – the largest in Europe. This innovative technology transforms the venue’s internal streets, creating a dynamic and visually immersive experience for visitors.
RLB, with their cost management expertise, played a key role in delivering this project, which reached completion in March 2024. RLB worked closely with the Project Manager and Design Team to review and evaluate the tender returns. This involved exploring value engineering options, programme durations, LED package specifications, preliminaries, and other factors. Through this comprehensive analysis, RLB helped arrive at an agreed contract sum that ensured the project could proceed within budget and timeframe.
