CDM Services & Compliance Consultancy

Compliance with health and safety does not simply involve telling organisations what they cannot do. Rather, it involves working collaboratively with them, understanding their needs, and finding a way to make it possible for them to meet their business goals and desired outcomes while remaining legally compliant. This is RLB’s methodology, and it underpins the whole spectrum of services we offer, from CDM and Principal Designer services to construction health and safety consulting, occupational safety management and operational management systems. Our wealth of experience means we can find the right solution for you, from project conception to completion and throughout a building’s life cycle.

Deliver compliant projects

The successful completion of a project depends on the effective coordination and planning of the delivery process. CDM must be fully integrated, from conception to handover, in order to achieve cost and programme benefits and secure legal compliance. RLB has the expertise to guide you, working collaboratively with you and other professionals. No matter the scale or complexity, we have the necessary resources, systems and adaptability to help you deliver your programmes and projects.

Improve site safety and productivity

Robust and efficient health and safety and compliance systems are essential to maintain a productive and satisfied workforce, whether you manage a single construction site or the facilities of a commercial chain. We can assess your management systems and arrangements to pinpoint strengths and opportunities, providing detailed advice and tailored implementation plans for their improvement. Work with us and you will have access to the best available expertise and make more informed decisions.

Maintain building safety standards

The Building Safety Act and related regulations introduced a legal framework for the industry, with additional requirements for higher risk buildings (HRBs) that are more than 18m in height or have seven or more storeys and at least two residential dwellings. We will guide you through all relevant legislation, keeping you aware of your obligations and assisting you in the analysis and completion of statutory documentation such as safety case reports, helping you to maintain building safety and stay compliant.

CIRCLE SQUARE

Building a complex urban project safely

Circle Square is a vibrant and thriving neighbourhood at the heart of Manchester’s innovation district. It’s a place where people live, work, eat, drink and shop. The masterplan for Circle Square includes 1,700 new homes, 1.2m sq.ft of commercial office space, 100,000 sq.ft of ground-floor retail and leisure space, a hotel, and a multi-storey car park all centred around Symphony Park, Manchester’s brand new city park with over 100 semi mature trees, 1000’s of flowers, plants and shrubs.

“For more than seven years RLB’s building safety and assurance experts worked in close collaboration with us and our partners and stakeholders to help deliver Circle Square, Manchester’s vibrant new mixed-use neighbourhood. Throughout they demonstrated efficient and effective planning and co-ordination of work so that all risks involved were managed from start to finish.”
