RLB in Hong Kong is proud to announce that our Green Hub project was awarded an Honourable Mention in the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Awards 2016. This is the only winning heritage project from Hong Kong.

Established in 2000, UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Awards recognise and encourage private efforts and public-private initiatives in successfully restoring structures of heritage value in the region.

Old Tai Po Police Station

The awarded project was originally the Old Tai Po Police Station – a Grade 1 listed historic building built in 1899. It was the first police station and police headquarters in the New Territories. Under Batch II of the ‘Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme’, the historic site was transformed into a Green Hub for promoting sustainable living, by Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden in 2015.
