The RICS Hong Kong Award Ceremony was held successfully on 18 March. It was so encouraging to see two Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) project teams honoured on the day. The awarded project teams included Arup, for the new campus at the Chu Hai College of Higher Education, and The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority for the M+ Pavilion. As the ‘Construction Project Team of the Year’, they received the Winner and a Certificate of Excellence respectively.

RLB was proud to provide full quantity surveying services to both projects. Led by Directors, Mr H K Yu and Mr Patrick Chan, RLB worked with the other project team members to develop practical solutions, to deliver the projects on time and within budget.

Awarded projects:
New Campus at the Chu Hai College of Higher Education

Completed in 2016, the new campus at the Chu Hai College of Higher Education is in Tuen Mun, covering an area of more than 26,000 square metres. The new campus comprises two major buildings with a full range of teaching, learning and recreational facilities, as well as a student hostel and staff quarters for up to 4,000 students.

M+ Pavilion

The M+ Pavilion, which opened in September 2016, serves as the primary site for M+ exhibitions in the run-up to the completion of the M+ building. The mirrored external walls reflect the surrounding expanse of greenery, immersing the building in its park setting, allowing the pavilion to blend into its surroundings.
