The RLB Academy: Building Ambition

Joining RLB also means qualifying to join our Academy.

From the moment you start, through your induction and throughout your career, you’ll be guided and mentored to support your development, meeting both your professional ambitions and those of the business along the way. A key part of this is sponsoring you to achieve professional qualifications.

Our online training programme, Academy, enables you to build a personal development plan so you can specialise your skills and knowledge.

The Academy supports your development wherever you are, at whatever stage of your career.

  • Future Professional Graduate Programme

    Open to around 20 graduates each year, the programme offers first-class structured professional training to support achievement in your professional qualification – the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and the Professional Review Programme (PRP).

  • Year Out

    After working with our teams throughout the UK, across a range of sectors, many of our Year Out placements return to RLB after graduating, and undertake a full-time role through our graduate programme, to continue their professional development and achieve their professional qualification.

  • Apprenticeships

    Our apprentices learn on the job while gaining an academic and professional qualification. Along the way, you’ll benefit from fees paid for by RLB, earning while you learn, with opportunities to travel, professional qualifications and access to a structured training programme.

  • Internships and work placements

    Flexible placements for undergraduates and graduates across all disciplines.

  • Supporting Professional Qualifications

    You’ll be encouraged and sponsored to achieve any professional qualifications essential to your role and your development. These include RICS (QS, BS & PM), APM (PM) and NEBOSH (H&S, PD).
    All RLB technical staff are also supported to achieve CSCS accreditation to ensure H&S compliance and all business services staff are supported to achieve a relevant professional qualification.
    You’ll also be encouraged and enabled to continue your technical learning through update learning and internal core CPD courses, supported by the dedicated CPD representative in your office.
