At Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) our vision is to shape the future of the built environment to create a better tomorrow.

As an independent global practice of construction, management and property consultants, Corporate Social Responsibility is at the core of our values, and firmly anchored in our corporate culture.

Our CSR programme reflects how we align our values, behaviours and business practices with the expectations and needs of our stakeholders. We understand that this involves going beyond legal minimums and that doing the right thing matters. We engage with our stakeholders and Global CSR community, and then act responsibly.

The RLB Corporate Responsibility report 2022 covers our environmental and social achievements from last year across RLB’s four pillars of People, Clients, Environment and Community. This is our first report where we have mapped our CSR activities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), and you will see these SDG icons throughout the report.

Since our 2020 Sustainability Report, we have experienced many changes within the business. This latest report covers the fantastic strides we have made across our pillars, including the ongoing development of health and wellbeing and diversity and inclusion activities; the excellent sustainability services work we are delivering to clients; the operational environmental improvements we have made; and our colleagues’ fantastic efforts to raise money, volunteer time and give back to the communities in which we live and work.

RLB Partner – Business Improvement, Viv Todhunter comments:

“I am delighted to share our latest Corporate Responsibility report which highlights our progress towards net zero and how RLB is conscious of the difference we can make to the environment and the communities in which we live and work. I am extremely proud of everyone who has given their time supporting charities, volunteering in schools and community groups. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us and I am looking forward to expanding our CSR communities and getting the entirety of the company on board with our CSR programme. Sharing more on how we our influencing clients and their projects, thought leadership, and internal campaigns and training programmes.”
