Amazon have announced 86 new signatories for the Climate Pledge and we’re thrilled to announce that Rider Levett Bucknall UK is one of them.

Altogether, there are more than 200 companies that have signed the pledge which will see us all:

  • Measure and report greenhouse gas emissions on a regular basis.
  • Implement decarbonization strategies in line with the Paris Agreement through real business changes and innovations, including efficiency improvements, renewable energy, materials reductions, and other carbon emission elimination strategies.
  • Neutralize any remaining emissions with additional, quantifiable, real, permanent, and socially beneficial offsets to achieve net-zero annual carbon emissions by 2040.

RLB has been measuring and reporting our carbon emissions since 2011 and have set a target to achieve net zero emissions against our 2019/20 baseline by 2025.

We have recently undertaken the Ecovadis benchmarking and have been awarded a Silver Certificate for 2021 – RLB was ranked in the top 15% of companies assessed, and our environmental score was actually significantly higher than the Silver benchmark, as we scored 70/100 for that section.

“If there is one priority for our industry today it is the sustainability agenda.  As well as our own RLB pledge to reach net zero by 2025,  we are delighted to join the Climate Pledge led by Amazon and alongside others in both our industry and outside of it, to support the decarbonisation of our economy.”
