RLB UK has announced a 16% YOY increase in turnover to 58m (£50m 2017) with gross profit increasing by 60% YOY to £4m (£2.5m 2017) despite a changeable market.  As a result of new project wins, growth of existing clients’ projects and extension of services, the firm is continuing to see strong UK growth and is on track to reach its 2020/21 targets.  Globally, RLB has posted a turnover of £236m (£212m in 2017), reflecting a worldwide success story for the independent international property and construction consultant.

This success has also prompted RLB UK to make a number of new senior management appointments. These appointments include:

  • Nick Eliot has been named Managing Partner for RLB in London. Nick will lead the team at RLB’s London head office that has seen its headcount triple over the last 18 months.
  • Andrew Fettes Brown has been appointed Head of Cost Management in London supporting RLB’s investment in this key market. Both Nick and Andrew joined RLB in 2017.
  • Matt Summerhill has been appointed Managing Partner for RLB in Yorkshire and Humber. Previously Managing Partner of RLB in Sheffield, this new appointment reflects RLB’s growing presence in both Sheffield and Leeds and the opportunities across the region driven by the Northern Powerhouse.

All appointments are with immediate effect.

Andrew Reynolds, UK and Global Board Director for RLB, said: “The expansion of our UK business in 2017 is testament to our strategy of both attracting, and developing our own talent to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

“As we move through 2018, we are continuing to focus on our core strategy and the opportunities generated by the ongoing investment through the spine of the country from London through Birmingham and up into the Northern Powerhouse across Yorkshire and Manchester. This is supported by our new appointments of Nick Eliot, Andrew Fettes Brown and Matt Summerhill who, along with their teams, will continue to build our local business in these key regions supporting clients to deliver great projects.”

RLB UK is currently working on a number of key projects including: The National Automotive Innovation Centre, Coventry; a major housing regeneration scheme with Rotherham MBC; Great Ormond Street Hospital, London; Commercial projects, Harbour Central and Victoria Drive, London; and working with several market leading social media and technology clients.
