Rider Levett Bucknall UK (RLB UK) has been appointed as Employer’s Agent on a framework by development partner Morgan Ashley, with its first commissions providing care home and extra care facilities for the elderly in both Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire.

The framework (a joint venture from Ashley House plc and Morgan Sindall Investments Limited) includes a scheme in Grimsby that will start on site in March, a scheme in York starting late Spring and four schemes in the Leeds area which are presently at planning stage.

RLB’s role in the projects includes pre-construction services to manage the technical design and planning and tendering stages of the developments, together with construction stage Employer’s Agent services to administer the construction contracts.

Paul Batchelor, Partner at RLB’s Sheffield office comments, “We are delighted to be supporting the team at Morgan Ashley on this framework, especially as we celebrate 50 years working in the Yorkshire and Humber area. The schemes, all of which look at providing accommodation for the elderly in the Yorkshire and Humber area, will not only provide great facilities for those wanting to stay in a home of their own as they get older, but also shows an investment in the region.”
