Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) has been appointed by the Education Funding Agency to its Condition Data Collection (CDC) framework.  The programme involves surveying in excess of 22,000 education establishments (around 70,000 buildings) from 2017 to 2019 and is one of the largest Condition Data Collections exercises in the UK public sector.

Dean Sheehy, RLB Director, said. “We are delighted to have secured a place on the CDC framework and to be working for the Education Funding Agency on such a significant programme.  This is a fantastic opportunity for RLB and reinforces our position as one of the UK’s leading independent Surveying service providers. As this is a national commission delivered at a regional level, we are currently undertaking school visits from our network of offices including Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, London and Bristol.”

The CDC programme will visit every government funded educational establishment in England offering nursery, primary and secondary phase education to collect condition, site context and management data. This will help the Education Funding Agency to prioritise future funding of the maintained school estate. A pilot is already underway, RLB is due to visit around 200 schools a month across England and the programme is due to finish in 2019.
