Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) has been awarded another NHS contract within the acute and primary care sector, strengthening its growing healthcare portfolio of work and building on the healthcare excellence in the Sheffield and Leeds regional offices.

The contract awarded by the Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, (under the NHS SBS Construction Consultancy Framework) sees RLB’s healthcare team support the Yorkshire based Trust in the preparation of business cases. This contract is part of an on-going series of wins for RLB within the acute and primary care sector that includes masterplanning services for the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust, redevelopment of the Brighton General Hospital site and a full service including project management, cost management and principal design services for the Sussex Community NHS Trust.

The wins come on the back of RLB’s announcement of the appointment of two senior healthcare professionals, Conor Ellis and Toby Banfield earlier in the year and its recent news that the specialist healthcare consultancy, Holbrow Brookes was joining the firm. It also marks a period of growth for RLB’s healthcare sector that is now looking to recruit other healthcare professionals to join their growing team for future projects.

Dean Sheehy, Director at Rider Levett Bucknall comments, “The Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust win is reflective of the expertise and talent we now have within the RLB healthcare team.” Conor Ellis, Head of Healthcare, continues, “This contract is one of a series of appointments for the team across the primary care and acute services across different services including facilities, project and cost management. There is continued pressure for the NHS to maintain its estate to the best levels it can while still looking at costs and efficiencies. Our expertise at RLB can help support the Trusts to bring as many of these efficiencies as possible, while helping maintain the best facilities across their estates.”
