The RLB UK team in Yorkshire and Humber celebrated in style as not one, but three of their team were recognised at the Construction Excellence Generation for Change (G4C) regional awards ceremony, which was held last week.  Paul Batchelor was announced as the Mentor of the Year, Chris Buckley as the New Professional of the Year and Katie McKenzie received Highly Commended for Higher Education Student of the Year.

The G4C awards, which the RLB team has won in various categories for the last three years, showcase excellence and reward achievement for individuals and organisations which are pushing the built environment forward in the Yorkshire and Humber area.  Winners are selected across 10 categories including commitment to training, new professional of the year and the G4C Award.

Matt Summerhill, Managing Partner of RLB in Yorkshire and Humber comments, “At RLB we encourage everyone in our team to strive for their best and to challenge themselves while we support them in reaching for their goals professionally. Essentially, we strive to nurture their talent and help them realise their potential. It is fantastic to see young colleagues being recognised externally, illustrating the great talent we have here in Yorkshire and across the RLB business. Huge congratulations go to Paul, Chris and Katie.”

Steven Reynolds, Head of Building Surveying for RLB in Yorkshire and Humber, continues, “We understand how important it is to acknowledge achievement and excellence within our industry – which is one of the reasons why we are proud to sponsor the Further Education Student of the Year award. The dedication young people show to our industry and the way they give back to their local communities is something we should all celebrate.”
