RLB UK has been appointed to the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) framework.

The framework looks to procure consultancy services to support the design development and delivery of ‘Make Ready’ vehicle preparation projects with an anticipated total value of up to £20m each. The framework will predominately be used by SECAmb but is also available for all ambulance services across the whole of the UK. The framework which is for three years plus an optional additional one year across four lots will see RLB offering services including Employers Agent, Contract Administrator, Quantity Surveyor and Principal Designer.

The healthcare sector has grown from strength to strength for RLB that has seen a 20% increase in its healthcare business since 2019. Within healthcare, the blue light sector is an important area of RLB’s expertise having worked with other ambulance trusts in the North, Yorkshire, and West and Wales previously. The RLB team has also been working with London Ambulance Service NHS Trust providing multi-disciplinary services.

Stewart Binns, Head of Healthcare for RLB UK comments, “We all know how important maintaining healthcare estates and services have been over the last two years with government investment reflecting the need to maintain and update the UK health services and provision. The ambulance service often being the first port of call for patient pathways, they are instrumental in delivering healthcare services.”

“We are looking forward to working with the framework suppliers on future capital projects.”
