Working with partners, Avid Property Consultants, CDA Architects, Cundall and DTZ Investors, the RLB team has been supporting one of the largest and comprehensive renovations projects in the heart of Manchester city centre, Printworks Manchester, which completed this month, March 2024.

Continuing to be operational while under renovation, Printworks is one of the most popular multi-leisure complexes in Manchester housing 20+ bars restaurants and leisure activities as well as the second biggest IMAX screen in Europe.  The refurbishment sees new façade improvements as well as upgrades of both common and public realm spaces and will include the largest digital ceiling in Europe, as well as spaces for live events and entertainment for all.

The RLB team has provided cost management services for the £ 21million refurbishment project.  David Crawford, Senior Cost Manager at RLB comments:

“This is an instrumental project within Manchester city centre and the North West and one that RLB was delighted to be involved in. It supports regeneration, as well as attracting local and tourists to the city centre. RLB has worked with DTZ Investors to ensure that the renovation adds value to their asset.”

Ben Haller, Director, DTZ Investors commented:

“Printworks has shown resilience through the pandemic and refurbishing this iconic venue remains part of our vision. The leisure sector continues to transition as visitors seek the ultimate experience with technology redefining both expectations and possibilities. Visitors will soon benefit from just that with a fully immersive and interactive environment on a scale not previously seen in the UK, making it an ideal location for existing and future venues.”
