Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB UK), a global independent construction, property and management consultancy, has been appointed to five lots on Crown Commercial Service’s Construction Professional Services framework.

RLB UK has formed a strategic partnership led by WSP to provide multidisciplinary construction consultancy services to support a variety of significant engineering and infrastructure projects / programmes around the UK. This will support the Government in its ambition to invest in local and national infrastructure to level up the UK’s regions and drive economic growth.

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

The WSP and RLB strategic partnership was successful on all lots it bid for, which are as follows:

  • Lot 1: Built Environment & General Infrastructure
  • Lot 2: Urban Regeneration
  • Lot 4: High Rise
  • Lot 5: Defence
  • Lot 6: Environmental & Sustainability Technical Services

Julian Henley, Head of Public & Civic Sector, RLB UK, said: “The built environment is about creating spaces for communities, supporting economies, creating opportunities and mobilising accessibility to drive social mobility.

This framework and the work that will come from it embodies these ambitions as well as brings an opportunity to bring governance and best practice outlined by the Construction Playbook and Value Toolkit – policy and guidance that we are embedding in our work daily at RLB.”
