Heart of the Greater Icknield regeneration area to the West of Birmingham city centre.
Designed by Claridge Architects, the Soho Wharf project consist of 102 two and three-bedroom townhouses, and 650 one and two-bedroom apartments.
This project, now complete, provides 752 build-to-rent homes for around 2,000 people as part of the Greater Icknield Masterplan. The new Canal Quarter development encompasses the 12-acre site, benefiting the surrounding neighbourhood.
The approved scheme is the largest brownfield housing-led redevelopment framework within Birmingham. Therefore, it is strategically important for the long-term regeneration of the area, which is already undergoing a major change.
