It can be a formidable challenge for organisations to understand, implement and adhere to all their fire safety responsibilities, especially keeping up to date with the latest governance and best-practice. RLB’s multidisciplinary fire advisory team can provide the support and expertise you need, through services encompassing fire safety design, risk management, inspection, assurance and remediation management. Our methodology embodies the ‘golden thread’ information management approach championed by the Building Safety Act.

Improve fire safety management

It is essential best-practice to understand the fire safety management approach for buildings, and have a robust fire policy and fire strategy in place to inform management over the life cycle of your estate. Our experts can help you assess the current performance of fire safety assets across active, passive and management systems, informing and improving your management, mitigation or remediation programmes.

Protect people and property

A fire safety management plan to protect people and property is crucial for all those managing estates. RLB can assess the success of your plan’s implementation to identify any compliance gaps. We will provide advice on changes or mitigation measures where necessary to reduce fire risk and help you integrate them into long-term strategic health and safety plans.

Raise standards of remedial works

A top priority is to make certain health and safety best-practice is established, and the highest standards always maintained. We will support you with a specialist building inspection to bring the skills, competence and technology needed to manage quality from design to completion and handover. When accepting handover, this provides assurance that life safety compliance elements are correctly installed and can be suitably maintained.

Use data to optimise building safety

Data is an important element of the Building Safety Act and a key part of the modernisation of the construction and facilities management industries. We provide bespoke solutions for data gathering, data storage and data management. Our data-centric approach considers both technical and end user aspects of a building, while our ‘golden thread’ information management approach will ensure you benefit from our extensive technical expertise and building management knowledge.
